Community Involvement

Rather than tipping money into a variety of "charities" that pocket most of the donations themselves, EnZed PCs prefers to take a more active, "hands on" approach to community involvement.
We prefer to be more selective and therefore actively support two major local projects which are geographically and figuratively close to our hearts - the Wairarapa SPCA and the Mangatarere Stream Project.

Mangatarere stream restoration

About the Mangatarere Stream Project

This project is the first of its kind in the Wellington Region. The Mangatarere Stream Project has representation from the farming community, iwi, Carterton District Council, Greater Wellington and Wairarapa Public Health. Its purpose is to improve the water quality and health of the Mangatarere Stream.
With help it can become a beautiful stream again, but it needs fencing to keep stock out, riparian planting to hold the banks together, and volunteers to do the work.

EnZed PCs MD Jill Greathead's property back onto the stream, so she regularly leads streambed walking tours to show people what is wrong with the stream and what can be done to fix it.
EnZed PCs also provides free computer services and logistical support for everything to do with the Mangatarere Project. We became involved in the project simply because we feel it is the right and responsible thing to do.

Plus it's fun and you get to meet new people, which can't hurt. If you'd like to help too, email us:

Wairarapa SPCA

SPCA work is all carried out by unpaid volunteers.

Volunteering for the SPCA

We support the SPCA because we like animals and want to help find the critters
brought in to the SPCA good homes if possible. We supply their software needs.
